Always Thirsty

Always Thirsty, is a project using the 3D CAD modeling software called Rhino 7 to render a 3D model of a bottle opener. Following the rendering process, a Prusa 3D printer was used to bring my digital designs into an object that I could hold in my hand. Typography was explored as well within this project.

Sketches

With typography being a requirement within the design I wanted to incorporate text in multiple areas. In my original sketches I wanted to have my first initial as the focus point with a word cutting through the middle.

On the bottom of the object I added the title of Graphic Designer thinking how this could be used as a way to promote myself as a designer.

A slot was designed for a metal coin to be pressed into the printed bottle opener. This enables the bottle opener to be more secure when opening a bottle.

From paper to 3D prototype.
